People should be able to extract the necessary data from the Statutory Accounts to examine the cost of the impacts being made. 11:57:40 From emmaf to Everyone: We are looking at getting a CRM but do you think this is necessary for impact reporting and do you have any specific recommendations? 12:01:42 From MICHAEL FARRELL to Everyone: Please advise what choice you would make? For our 2023/24 IMpact repport, we have the choice of the CEO doing the FOREWORD to the Impact Report OR the CEO and two SMT members doing the FOREWORD to the Impact Report. The SMT are already doing other elements of the Impact Report. What is the best choice or does it really matter? 12:09:09 From Dan James - INTRAC to Everyone: https://www.intrac.org/resources/me-universe/ 12:10:22 From Dan James - INTRAC to Everyone: Replying to "https://www.intrac.o..." This will take you though to a package of monitoring and evaluation resources. 12:11:30 From Dan James - INTRAC to Everyone: I'll drop a couple of other references I mentioned. In short, I would say CRM can be helpful but is not essential, and would probably not advise if monitoring and evaluation is the only purpose for CRM. No specific recommendations I'm afraid - there are new ones coming along all the time - as you probably know some can be quite expensive, so worth thinking through the lifetime cost vs. benefit 12:25:32 From Dan James - INTRAC to Everyone: Replying to "Do you consider data..." Hi Philip - as Jonathan mentioned, I think the focus and data structure can differ between the purposes of impact measurement, donor financial reporting and statutory financial reporting, so I often see organisations using different systems. Specifically, impact reporting often needs to be at the level of individual projects rather than organisation - and it is a bit of an art to be able to aggregate results across a range of projects. 13:02:47 From Andy Moore: Refugee Education UK to Everyone: What was the name of that organisation, sorry? 13:03:40 From Philip Deane to Everyone: Replying to "What was the name of..."
