Don’t Dump it! Delegate It!

Part of our DSC Bitesize Spring Learning.

Why come?

Whilst managing people and their performances, do you have a hard time balancing your own workload? Prioritising your tasks and/or getting them completed on time? If so, you’re not alone. Understanding the art of delegation will deliver benefits both to you, those with whom you work and ultimately for your beneficiaries.

Who should attend?

Anyone within a managerial or supervisory role interested in learning the skill of delegation to help manage their own workload and develop skills and confidence in others.

Outcomes

A shared discussion and understanding of what delegation is and how to use it effectively for development and the delivery of the required outcomes.

What will it cover?

  • The difference between dumping and delegation
  • Recognising and overcoming the self-made barriers to delegating
  • Delegation as a management style
