Thursday 22 October
Sport England has launched its three-part Return to Play Fund, with £16.5 million available for the sport and physical activity sector. Groups, clubs and organisations affected by restrictions put in place to combat the spread of the virus can apply for funding under any of three streams available. Applications are particularly welcomed from organisations working with audiences (identified by Sport England) as finding it more difficult to be active, such as people on lower incomes, people with long-term health conditions, those experiencing a greater burden of care responsibilities. Wednesday 21 October
The Charities Aid Foundation has launched its Resilience Fund, with £20 million available to small/medium-sized non-profits in England. Grants of between £10,000 and £100,000 will be awarded to organisations working with ‘vulnerable and disadvantaged’ groups, such as people experiencing poverty, older people, people with disabilities, refugees. Funding can be used towards core costs, good and equipment and organisational development. Applications close on 10 November 2020. For more here.
Tuesday 20 October
The Architectural Heritage Fund has launched its Cultural Recovery grant programme. Non-profit organisations in England which care for, work with or manage a historical building can apply for funding towards planning ‘future financial viability’ and, where necessary, to develop new business models. Organisations that have received funding from Historic England/National Lottery Heritage Fund are not eligible, unless the proposed work differs from that funded originally. The deadline for applications is 9 November 2020. Find out more here.
Monday 19 October
The Community Business Renewal Fund provides grants to community businesses in England affected by the COVID-19 crisis to adapt, renew and rebuild their business so they can remain financially viable. The fund is aimed at organisations delivering services in their local community to support those who have been most affected by the COVID-19 crisis. The fund will have three application rounds with very short application windows of three hours. Round one will open on 3 November between 10am and 1pm. Find out more here.
