People's Health Trust - Finance for Non-Finance Managers Stage 2 online course

This free half-day (3 hour) online course is for funded partners of People’s Health Trust. Sessions are open to whoever is best placed to attend, for example staff, volunteers and Trustees. There is no charge to attend.

An advanced look at accounts, focusing on management accounts and forecasting.

  • Overview of Bookkeeping and Accounts.
  • Importance of preparing management accounts
  • Difference between receipts and payments and accruals account
  • Accounting Adjustments and preparation of management accounts
  • Allocation of costs for multiple projects/funds
  • Key questions to ask when presented with management accounts
  • Forecasting and amending budgets.
  • How to track spending once a project is live
  • Review of the year end accounts and financial risk register.
