The Welsh Government
The Welsh Government are awarding grants to partnerships of public bodies and third sector organisations to support volunteering recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. A summary bid is submitted first to support the application, then the full application deadline is the 18 December 2020.
Thursday 3 December
The National Lottery Community Fund
The National Lottery Community Fund is funding a small number of bursary places for BAME fundraisers and charity leaders for the FSI’s SQA-accredited qualification in Fundraising Practice. To apply charities must be a member of the FSI (it’s free to sign up) and have an annual income of less than £250,000. The deadline for applications is the 11th December 2020. Find out more here.

The Welsh National Lottery Community Fund
The fund is awarding Supporting Great Ideas grants ‘to organisations that support innovative and strategically important project ideas that encourage positive social change in Wales.’ Grants are for: adapting or diversifying to respond to challenges; supporting communities affected by Covid – 19; and supporting communities and organisations to become more resilient to respond to future crises. Grants are upwards of £10,000 for up to five years. Find out more.

The Alec Dickson Trust
The Alec Dickson Trust supports young people who, through volunteering or community service, aim to help others, particularly those most marginalised by society. The trust has set up this round of funding to help young people volunteer in response to Covid – 19. Funding, of up to £500, can be awarded to UK-based volunteering or community service projects that are run by people under 30 and directly or indirectly respond to Covid – 19. Weir Charitable Trust – Emergency Fund
The trust has launched a one-off emergency fund of £200,000 to support vulnerable people across Scotland during the pandemic. The trust will prioritise one-off awards to support projects addressing loneliness and isolation; mental health support; food and fuel poverty; supporting people with additional support needs; young people and families facing financial uncertainty due to redundancy.
