When do the courses start and end?

Delegates need to arrive at 9.30am. In the first half-hour, you’ll register and get a chance to meet your fellow delegates over coffee and biscuits.
All courses start at 10.00am and finish by 4.30pm, You can refer to your course programme for the exact time your course will finish.

How many people are there on a course?

Group sizes can vary from 5 to 18. However, we try to limit the numbers on certain courses to ensure each delegate receives the best training possible.

Is lunch provided?

Yes, we provide lunch inclusive with all our courses – there is a one hour lunch break usually scheduled between 12.00 noon and 2.00pm. Morning tea and coffee is served before the course starts and afternoon tea between 3.00 – 4.00 pm.

I have special dietary requirements

You can specify this on your booking form or notify our team on 0207 697 4200 or by email with exact details before the course and we will do everything we can to accommodate you.

What is the dress code?

There is no dress code for DSC courses. The courses are meant to be fun and relaxing as well as giving you the best training. Most people who attend our courses feel most comfortable in business casual clothing.

What happens if someone needs to contact me?

Call on 0207 697 4200 and the message will be passed on to the relevant people on the training course. In an emergency the session will be interrupted, otherwise you will be given your message in the break.

Where will my course be held?

Our Training courses take place at: Resource for London, 356 Holloway Road, London, N7 6PA

Can any course be booked In-house?

We will happily run any course in our public schedule as an in-house option, either at your premises or our venue. Contact our in house team on 0207 697 4290 or email [email protected]

Who delivers the training?

All of our courses are delivered by a team of highly qualified, experienced and specialist trainers, both associates and permanent members of staff. They come from a range of backgrounds all with experience in the third sector. To find out more about a particular trainer or find out who’s training a course, please contact us on 0207 697 4200 or by email.

Is there parking?

The nearest tube station is Holloway Road. Unfortunately there is no public parking around the area.

Can you cater for people with disabilities?

Of course, we’ll do our best.  Our training centre and website are fully accessible, and if you have a particular requirement (e.g. someone to help you on the day, braille or large print training materials) please just tell us when you book, by filling in and returning the requirements form included in your confirmation email or by email or by phoning us on 0207 697 4200, and we’ll do our best to have everything ready for you.

How do I know what level the course is?

All of our course outlines are available online www.dsc.org.uk/training or in our training guide.

At the top of each course page is a ‘who is it for?’ section describing the kind of people who go on this course – this information and the course outline should help you  identify if the course is the right level for you. Of course, if you need a helping hand, talk to us or email  us or phone 0207 697 4200.
